Leadership and Discipleship in the Wilderness
LDW (Leadership and Discipleship in the Wilderness) is a 4-6 week wilderness trip.
The nature of the course is not to simply experience thrills; instead, the focus is on developing character. This development will lead to competency and confidence in being able to lead others safely in the outdoors. Furthermore, this character development will prepare participants to be transformational leaders for service in Christ’s kingdom.

2008 Dates
LDW Wyoming ~ Mountaineering ~ May 31 - July 12, 2008 ~ 6 weeks
LDW Canada ~ Coastal Kayaking ~ June 1 - July 3, 2008 ~ approx. 4.5 weeks
Cost: Our program cost is comparable to that of other similar programs in the industry. We try to keep cost as low as possible and still run a top-notch program. Participants have the option to raise funds. The LDW manager will provide resources and help for participants wishing to do this. Many students have successfully raised funds in previous years. LDW Wyoming =$3000; LDW Canada =$2400. Trips start and end in Western PA and include travel expenses from PA to trip destination. Cost does not include food during travel to and from trip destination.
